Even
after e-mailing someone for a long time, you can still get
a real shocker. To quote Jen, "A guy I'd been writing
with for a few months sent me this email. I had invited him
to come hang out with me and my friends, since we often go
out to new restaurants or for a hike or to shoot pool and
grab a bevvie...you know, a pretty normal scenario. The following
email just goes to show you, even after writing to someone
online for a while and thinking they might be 'sane' enough
for you to meet...well, sometimes you can just be damn wrong."

Petty criminals? Hard drugs? Casual sex, maybe, but mindless
sex? Zombified throbbing? What the hell is that???? I sure
don't get it. Does this guy snort coke with shoplifters and
then screw them at raves in the desert?

Wow -- that's a rarity. Usually people with "sketchy"
lifestyles don't wait long before letting you know about them.
I don't think he has to worry about defending his tastes to
you -- if he's into hard drugs and criminal activities, he'll
be defending himself in court before long.
